Restaurant Bartender - DC location

Crab Boss On H in Washington, DC is looking for one bartender to join our 39 person strong team. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, motivated, and hard-working.

Responsibilities

  •         Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages
  •         Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
  •         Assess customers needs and preferences and make recommendations
  •         Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
  •         Plan and present bar menu
  •         Check customer's identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
  •         Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
  •         Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
  •         Comply with all food and beverage regulations


Qualifications

  •         Proven working experience as a bartender
  •         Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
  •         Knowledge of a second language will be considered a plus
  •         Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  •         Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
  •         Relevant training certificate

Crab Boss On H in Washington, DC is looking for one food prep to join our 36 person strong team. We are located on 1001 H Street Ne,. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and engaged.

Responsibilities

  •         Set up and break down workstation
  •         Mix, wash, peel, chop, grind, strain, slice meat and vegetables
  •         Label stock and inventory all ingredients
  •         Weigh and measure ingredients to be used


Qualifications

  •         Experience working in BOH position
  •         Dedicated to working with a team towards one common goal
  •         Knowledge of kitchen equipment and utensils
  •         Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsible and accountable for all aspects of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage sales. Ensure consistent quality of products. Prepares beverages with a sense of quality and flare to enhance the experience of the guest during their visit to Crab Boss!

CLEAN: Must make the property shine and look impeccable while maintaining a neat CLEAN and crisp personal appearance.

SAFE: Must make guests feel SAFE and comfortable through creating a worry free, carefree experience.

FAST: Provide FAST and efficient service with accuracy. Meet service time requirements and anticipate guest needs.

FRIENDLY: Greet each guest with FRIENDLY welcomes, making eye contact and smiling. Use H.E.A.R.T. steps to ease guest concerns. Say thank you to departing guests.

Specific Responsibilities And Duties

• Responsible for setting up bars.

• Responsible for handling all cash transactions.

• Responsible for all opening and closing inventories of all stock.

• Responsible to take orders from guest and return these orders accurately and in a timely manner.

• Keep area in a clean and orderly manner.

• Responsible to have knowledge of guests limitations and company policy and procedure regarding limitations.

• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements (skills, knowledge, and abilities)

• Ability to read write and understand basic instructions.

• Knowledge of all bar equipment, Easy Bar System, ABC laws and regulations and gaming laws.

• Able to handle situations that may arise due to intoxication.

• Ability to communicate with all departments and other team members.

• Knowledge of sanitation and health department regulations for safe handling of alcohol.

• Ability to perform assigned job duties in an interruptive environment under frequent time pressures.

• Knowledge of bar operation.

The Hosts play an important role in our daily operations by being our “first and last impression”. Hosts set the stage for an exceptional dining experience. They're responsible for greeting Guests with genuine hospitality and professionalism, accurately quoting wait times, seating Guests in a clean/ sanitary environment all while accommodating their needs.

    • Standing and walking during entire 8-hour shift

Front of House Manager

Responsibilities:

Serve as a point of contact for all FOH staff, vendors, and services.

Responsible for taking inventory, and receiving/logging deliveries

Work with BOH managers to maintain speed and quality of all plates

Ability to open and close the restaurant ensuring all employees complete tasks in an efficient manner

Perform daily and periodic health/safety inspections in and around restaurant

Productively and professionally conduct interviews for potential employees

Deliver excellent customer service including personally greeting and seating guests, but also resolves guests' complaints in a timely and friendly manner

Manage other work-related administrative and floor duties, as assigned

Responsible for ensuring all FOH staff members complete side work and tasks as assigned

Ability to create, post, and adjust hourly staff schedules as needed

Hold educational meetings for assigned departments as needed

Experience in high volume settings

Able to work evenings, late nights, weekends + holidays

Leadership skills in delegating tasks, prioritizing responsibilities

Exhibit enthusiasm and passion for the restaurant industry

Detail oriented and organized

Familiarity with restaurant management software, like Toast, CTUIT and OpenTable a plus

Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
